DESCRIPTION:DARG will run at 13:00-14:15 UK time as a hybrid data session:\nRoom SCH1:21 (Schofield Building Building\, Loughborough)\nZoom registration link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMpcOqgrjgiHtTW1buxXxCdo2SK5iFfK3iV\n(NB: we are now collecting some basic information on who comes to DARG) \nSession details:\nThis week we will be doing some unmotivated looking at a news delivery sequence from the TV series “24 hours in A&E”. Before the sequence the doctor involved has already explained the seriousness of the situation to the patient’s relatives. We will be reviewing the bedside interaction that follows\, between the doctor and the patient. As a warning\, the patient is receiving the news that she is too unwell for an operation\, and that they will be “keeping her comfortable” and that she will be not leaving hospital. As this is from a television series\, the camera setting is not ideal for CA work\, but still contains some useful data that aligns with my research focus on news delivery in the emergency department.  \nTranscript on request.
