Data session: 12th June, Deborah Chinn: Mental health promotion groupwork for adults with learning disabilities

Session details:
The data will be taken from video recordings of an online group designed for adults with intellectual disabilities to promote mental wellbeing. The group is co-facilitated by group leaders with and without intellectual disabilities. My interest is in how the group co-facilitators work together and how they negotiate their roles are areas of expertise. We might also wish to consider how ‘mental health’ is conceptualised during the meeting and the assumptions that are made about the lives and contexts of people with intellectual disabilities.
