Lauren Hall: “Alexa, living with Dementia and self-talk”

The session will be presented by Lauren Hall from Loughborough University. The session is titled “Alexa, living with Dementia and self-talk“:
This extract is part of a corpus of an elderly person living with dementia (ANN) in her own home, where she lives alone, using an Amazon Alexa (ALEX) smart speaker. ANN was diagnosed with dementia around 8 years ago however continues with her everyday tasks without care assistants. The focus here is how ANN interactions with her Alexa while using self-talk. We are at a very early stage of this project so any comments will be helpful.
