Lauren Hall: “Alexa, living with Dementia and self-talk”

Wednesday at DARG, 13:00-14:30 UK time, there will be a hybrid (in-person and online) data session hosted in room B114 (Brockington Building, Loughborough University) or join us on Zoom.

The session will be presented by Lauren Hall from Loughborough University. The session is titled “Alexa, living with Dementia and self-talk:

This extract is part of a corpus of an elderly person living with dementia (ANN) in her own home, where she lives alone, using an Amazon Alexa (ALEX) smart speaker. ANN was diagnosed with dementia around 8 years ago however continues with her everyday tasks without care assistants. The focus here is how ANN interactions with her Alexa while using self-talk. We are at a very early stage of this project so any comments will be helpful.
